Futsal Rules

1. The field

Field size similar to handball field, plus:
* 6 metre penalty spot
* 10 meter free kick spot
* 5 metres substitution region / team
* Corner kick area
Goal size 3m x 2m

2. The ball

Circumference 62-64 cm
Weight 400-440 g
Pressure 0,4 - 0,6
Dropped from 2 metres the ball will bounce to a 50-65 cm height

3. Number of players

4 + 1 on the field, max. 7 substitutes
During substitution, first player goes out and only then substitute goes in. In case of infringement => yellow card to the substitute comming in + indirect free kick from the ball's place.
Substitutions only in the own substitution area only.

4. Player's equipment

9. Kick-off

A goal can be scored straight form the kick-off shot
The bal is "in play" as soon as it is kicked and is moving
At kick-off, 3 metres distance from ball

10. Ball in and out of play

The ball is "out of play" when it goes completeley behind the side and goal lines, on the groun or in the air
Touching the ceilling => freekick for the opposit team from the side-line closest to the place, or gaolkeeper throw-in

11. Goal scoring

A goal is scored when the ball goes completley over the goal line between the goal posts and under the crossbar
The goalkeeper is not allowed to score straight from the throw-in

12. Forbiden play and non sporting behaviour

All the direct free-kicks are cummulative
Shoulder to shoulder not allowed
Sliding tackles not allowed
4 seconds rule for the goalkeeper
Goalkeeper throw can go over the middle-line
The goalkeeper is not allowed to play the ball again until it goes over the middle-line or touches an opposite player
Red card => 2 min or a goal

13. Free kicks

5 m distance form ball
4 sec => indirect free-kick for the opposit team

14. Cummulative free-kicks

Direct free-kicks are counted
More than 5 cummulated free-kicks (per half) => free-kick without a wall form 10 m, the goalkeeper can stay anywhere in the penalty box (at least 5 m from the ball), direct kick to the goal, players behind the ball line
From this free kick no pass is allowed, only straight shot to the goal.

15. Penalty kick

16. Side kick-in

From the line
5 m from the ball
Goal not allowed directly from side-kick
4 sec / or indirect free-kick for opposit team

17. Goalkeeper throw

The ball can go over the middle line without touching the floor or an opposite player
Goal not allowed straight from the goalkeeper throw

18. Corner kicks

From the corner area
